FOUR Scottish companies that champion diversity and inclusion have each received £ 25,000 of airtime from the STV Growth Fund, making advertising more accessible to the Scottish business community.
Social Stories Club, a social enterprise in Edinburgh, Daisy Tree Baby Boutique, a large family street and online store in Aberdeenshire, Deaf Action, Edinburgh, which supports the diversity of hearing impaired people, and the business of interest Community Women’s Enterprise Scotland (WES), will now develop a marketing campaign to air on STV over the next year.
They came out on top of the finalists earlier this month, all of whom had to present to a panel of expert judges how they stand up for diversity, as well as details of how they will grow their business with a focus on inclusion.
The panel consisted of Femi Otitoju, Diversity and Inclusion Advisor at STV and Managing Director of Challenge Consultancy; Barrington Reeves, Creative Director and Founder of Creative Agency Too Gallus; Lee Beattie, managing partner of creative agency John Doe; and Evelyn McDonald, CEO of Scottish EDGE.
STV has set aside £ 1million in total for companies that specifically advocate inclusiveness from its £ 20million growth fund.
